PULS UF40.241 is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) control module within the UF-series, designed as a bfr. module with capacitor storage and a green status LED. It features a DC/DC UPS control mechanism with a 34-second charging time, encased in an aluminium housing. The unit offers screw-clamp connections for secure installation and measures W64mm x H124mm x D142mm. It operates on a supply voltage range of 19.2Vdc to 30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and supports a rated current of 40A (bfr.). Designed for DIN rail mounting, the UF40.241 can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +70°C and is suitable for DC networks. It includes a visual position indicator for Ready, Buffering, and Inhibit statuses. The module provides protection against output overvoltage, with typical protection at 32Vdc and a maximum of 35Vdc. It allows for parallel connection of buffer modules to enhance output ampacity or hold-up time. The output voltage is fixed at 24Vdc, with an efficiency of 0.99 at a 24Vdc input. The hold time is specified as 25ms/0.25s at 40A load and 50ms/0.5s at 20A load. Power dissipation/losses are noted as 1.9 W at a 24Vdc input with 0A output current, and the ripple is 200mVpp across a frequency range of 20Hz to 20MHz at 50Ω. Electrical durability is rated at 189,000 hours at 40°C and 536,000 hours at 25°C in standby mode.
