Pilz PILZ-840630 is a protection unit designed for thermistor monitoring relay applications, featuring thermistor monitoring as its main function. It is suitable for DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C. This unit has a net height of 87 mm and incorporates a manual reset design with fixed screw terminal connections. It requires a supply voltage of 204-264Vac (240Vac nominal) and falls under the S1MO sub-range. The dimensions include a width of 22.5mm and a depth of 121 mm, offering a degree of protection of IP40. The housing is made of PPO material, ensuring durability. With a power consumption of 3.5 VA, this unit operates in a normally energized mode with manual reset functionality. It can withstand an ambient air temperature for storage between -40 and +85 °C. The PILZ-840630 features 2 x auxiliary outputs (2CO changeover / 2xSPDT-NO/NC contacts) for digital outputs, 2 x analog inputs (T1-T2 measuring circuits) for monitoring, and is equipped with 2 x reset circuit inputs (X2-X1) for digital inputs. Its protection functions are specifically designed for overheating protection, utilizing thermistors to safeguard against temperature-related issues.
