Pilz PILZ-773733 is a Safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and has a net height of 94 mm. This unit features various connection types including screw terminal connections, spring-loaded terminal connections, and an 8-pin RJ45 female connector for incremental encoders, with stripping lengths of 7mm for screw connections and 9mm for spring-loaded connections. As part of the Safe I/O module sub-range, it offers a degree of protection of IP20 and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The frequency ranges for input are 0-3kHz for proximity switches and 0-500kHz for incremental encoders, with monitoring frequencies adjusted for hysteresis. The unit is constructed from PPO for the bottom housing and ABS for the front housing, measures 45 mm in width and 121 mm in depth, and supports wire cross-sections ranging from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 / 24AWG to 16AWG for various connections. Power consumption is 1 W from supply via the base module. It is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures of -25 to +70°C and features protection functions including galvanic isolation and overload proof (-30 to +30V). The rated insulation voltage is 30 V. It includes 4 digital inputs for proximity switches and 2 digital inputs for incremental encoders, with specific signal level requirements. Time delay and angle phase position for differential signals are configurable, ensuring precise control and integration into safety systems.
