Pilz PILZ-773732 is a communications unit designed for expansion and communication tasks within industrial automation systems. It features a CANopen fieldbus interface, supporting the CiA DS-301 V4.02 protocol, making it suitable for connecting to a base unit as a peripheral device. The unit allows for station addresses ranging from 0 to 99d and is designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with 35mmx7.5mm rails, positioned horizontally. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and has a net height of 94 mm. The connection to the base unit is facilitated through a 9-pin D-sub male connector. Classified under the communication module sub-range, it measures 27mm in width, offers an IP20 degree of protection, and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The housing is made from PPO for the bottom and ABS for the front, ensuring compatibility with various industrial environments. It has a rated voltage of 500Vac for CANopen, a net width of 22.5 mm, and consumes 1W of power from the supply provided via the base unit. The net depth is 119 mm, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. For protection, it features galvanic isolation, a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 30 V, and supports multiple transmission rates for CANopen from 10kBit/s up to 1MBit/s, with a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization.
