Product description
Pilz PILZ-773402 is a Safety I/O unit designed as a digital input safety expansion module suitable for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it off. The unit features a net height of 94 mm and offers both screw and spring-loaded terminal connections, requiring a 7mm stripping length for screw connections and a 9mm stripping length for spring-loaded connections. Classified under the Safe I/O module sub-range, it has an IP20 degree of protection and accepts a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). Constructed with a PPO bottom housing and an ABS front housing, it supports a maximum cable length of 1000m per input and has a net width of 22.5 mm. The unit accommodates wire cross-sections ranging from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 (24AWG to 16AWG) for 1-core flexible wires with screw terminals, and similar ranges for spring-loaded terminals, with specific allowances for 2-cores and crimp connectors. Power consumption is rated at 2.5 W from the supply via the base module, with a net depth of 121 mm. It is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. The module's response time varies from 18ms for simultaneity between channels 1 and 2, up to 3s for 2-hand circuit simultaneity, and 0.5s in certain conditions, with a rated insulation voltage of 30 V. It features 8 digital inputs compliant with EN 61131-2 Type 1 standards, offering a time delay of up to 4ms for input, 5s for switch-on, and 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization, with a processing time including pulse suppression of 0.6 ms.
