Product description

Pilz PILZ-772137 is a safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm and 27mm DIN rails. It functions as a configurable safety small digital I/O expansion unit, featuring potential isolation between SC output and system voltage with basic insulation and a rated surge voltage of 2500V. This unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it. It has a net height of 101.4 mm, a design code of 00E0h, and supports a rated current of 8A for the external power supply's continuous current, with input current ranging from 2.5-5.3mA, permitted output current from 0-2.5A, a residual current of 0.05mA at "0" signal, and a maximum transient pulsed output current of 12A. Connection options include plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminals, accommodating 2 points per spring-loaded connection with a 9mm stripping length. Classified under the Safe I/O module sub-range, it has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc for output supply and module supply via the base unit. The housing is made of PC material, allowing for a maximum cable length of 1000m per input, with a net width of 22.5 mm and a net depth of 120 mm. It supports a cross-section range of 0.25...2.5mm2 / 24AWG...12AWG for 1-core flexible screw connections, 0.2...1.5mm2 / 24AWG...16AWG for 2-cores flexible with crimp/TWIN crimp connector screw connections, and 0.25...2.5mm2 / 24AWG...12AWG for spring connections. The module's power consumption is 1 W, and it can be stored within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +70°C. It features 4 x digital outputs (24Vdc; 2A), a rated insulation voltage of 30 V for potential isolation, 8 x digital inputs (24Vdc; 5mA), a current consumption of 39mA from supply via base module, and includes time delays of 0.5ms for pulse suppression, 8ms for maximum input delay, and 3ms for switch-off delay. The power dissipation/losses are a maximum of 4.5 W, with a processing time of 0.33 ms for the maximum duration OFF time during self-test, and a voltage drop of 0.5 V at the output.
