Pilz PILZ-772136 is a communications unit designed for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail. This communication module features a PROFINET fieldbus interface, acting as an IO-Device with galvanic isolation for potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated insulation voltage of 30V and a rated surge voltage of 500V. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with forced convection off. The unit has a net height of 101.4 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 110.4 mm, and it requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and an additional 3.3Vdc for module supply via the base unit. It is equipped with 2 x RJ45 connectors for interface connections and supports screw or spring-loaded terminal connections, accommodating a wire cross-section of 0.25...2.5mm2 for 1-core flexible wires with screw connection, 0.2...1.5mm2 for 2-cores flexible with crimp/TWIN crimp connector, and 0.25...2.5mm2 for spring connection. The unit's housing is made of PC material in green color, offering an IP20 degree of protection. It follows the PROFINET communication protocol with a transmission rate of 100MBit/s, has a rated current of 60mA for the maximum external power supply continuous current, and consumes 1.4 W power from the external power supply or 0.2 W from the supply via the base unit, with a maximum power dissipation/loss of 1.5 W. The unit is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C and features galvanic isolation for enhanced protection.
