Pilz PILZ-772102 is a communications unit designed for Ethernet POWERLINK V2 integration, featuring a controlled node device type with galvanic isolation for enhanced operational integrity between the fieldbus and module voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 500V. It is engineered for DIN rail mounting, compatible with a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it. The unit has a net height of 101.4 mm, supports a maximum rated current of 50mA from an external power supply, and offers connectivity through an RJ45 interface or screw or spring-loaded terminal connections accommodating 2 points per connection with a 9mm stripping length. As part of the communication module sub-range, it measures 22.5 mm in width, 110.4 mm in depth, and is housed in a green PC material with an IP20 degree of protection. The supply voltage ranges from 19.2 to 30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc and an additional 3.3Vdc supplied via the base unit. It supports wire cross-sections from 0.25 to 2.5mm2 for single-core flexible wires with screw connections and slightly different specifications for other wire types. The power consumption is rated at 1.2 W from an external power supply and 0.2 W from the supply via the base unit, with a maximum power dissipation/loss of 1.5 W.
