Pilz PILZ-772035 is a communications unit designed as an expansion/communication module with EtherCAT and CANopen fieldbus interfaces. It features peripheral device type functionality and logs CANopen over EtherCAT with potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 500V. This unit is suitable for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection in the control cabinet, and up to +55°C with forced convection off. The unit has a net height of 100 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 115 mm. Connection is facilitated through an RJ45 connector plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminals, supporting 2 points per spring-loaded connection with a 9mm stripping length. It falls under the communication module sub-range, with dimensions of W27mm and a degree of protection rated at IP20. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The housing is made of PC material. It supports a communication protocol of EtherCAT CANopen and accommodates a wire cross-section ranging from 0.25 to 2.5mm2 for various connection types. The power consumption of the module supply is 1.5 W. It is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C and includes protection functions such as galvanic isolation and potential isolation. The rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 30 V, with a speed of 100MBit/s for EtherCAT transmission and a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization.
