Pilz PILZ-772032 is a communications unit designed as an expansion/communication module with DeviceNet fieldbus interface, suitable for peripheral device types. It supports station addresses ranging from 0 to 63d and features potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage with functional insulation, rated at a surge voltage of 500V. This unit is designed for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with forced convection off. The unit has a net height of 100 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 110 mm. Connection is facilitated through a 5-pin plug-in connector, offering plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminal connections, accommodating 2 points per spring-loaded connection with a 9mm stripping length. It falls under the communication module sub-range, with a degree of protection rated at IP20 and a supply voltage requirement of 19.2-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal). The housing is made of PC material. The communication protocol supported is DeviceNet, with wire cross-sections ranging from 0.25 to 2.5mm2 for various connection types. Power consumption is rated at 1.5 W for module supply and 0.75 W for DeviceNet. It can operate in ambient air temperatures for storage between -25 and +70°C. Protection functions include galvanic isolation and potential isolation, with a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 30 V. The unit supports transmission rates of 125kBit/s, 250kBit/s, and 500kBit/s on DeviceNet, with a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization.
