Pilz PILZ-632285 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 14mm. This emitter part of the system operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60 °C and offers a protective height of 1050mm. It features a robust design with an aluminium housing, zinc end cap, and a PC front screen, ensuring durability. The connection is facilitated through a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver. As part of the PSEN opII4F sub-range, it has a net height of 1054 mm, a width of 35 mm, and a depth of 40 mm. The device operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5 W for the emitter and 2.5 W for the receiver without load. It supports a sensing distance from 0.2m to 8m and uses infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. The safety light curtain is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It allows for a maximum cable length of 50m and features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. The response time is 13.6ms with beam coding and 91.4ms, with a resolution of 14mm for finger protection. The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
