Pilz PILZ-632101 is a safety light curtain designed for body protection, capable of detecting opaque objects with a minimum size of 170mm. This emitter and receiver pair falls under the PSEN opII3B sub-range and features a robust design with an aluminium housing, zinc end caps, and a PC front screen. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C for operation and -25 to +70°C for storage. The device offers a protective height of 900mm and has a net height of 904mm, a width of 35mm, and a depth of 40mm. It connects via 5-pin M12 connectors for both the emitter and receiver, ensuring a secure connection. The safety light curtain operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It features an infrared LED light source with a wavelength of 850 nm, a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 15m, and is equipped with two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. The device is IP65 rated, indicating protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, and has a response time of 5.2ms with beam coding and 11.7ms. The maximum cable length supported is 50m.
