Pilz PILZ-631123 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a slim design with a cascading option that eliminates dead zones. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a protective height of 750mm. This model comes equipped with a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, ensuring a secure connection. The Slim sub-range designation highlights its compact dimensions, with a net width of 15.4mm and a depth of 32.6mm. It offers an IP65 degree of protection, suitable for various industrial environments. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. Constructed from an aluminium housing with die-cast zinc alloy end caps and a PMMA front screen, it ensures durability. The maximum cable length is 20m, and it has a sensing distance ranging from 0.2m to 6m. The light curtain uses infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm and has a power consumption of 1.6W for the emitter and 4.2W for the receiver. It features 40 beams with a 24mm beam gap, providing a resolution suitable for detecting opaque objects as small as 24mm. Additionally, it includes 2 digital outputs (500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and offers response times of 10ms for cascading and 20ms otherwise. The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
