Pilz PILZ-631042 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, featuring a resolution of 30mm to detect opaque objects. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 756.3 mm. This part is equipped with functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM (External Device Monitoring), reset, and muting. It offers a design that supports muting, blanking, and cascading options with no dead zone for hand protection, comprising an emitter and receiver pair. The rated current ranges from 20mA to 300mA for an external lamp, and it connects via a 5-pin M12 connector for the emitter and 12-pin and 5-pin M12 connectors for the receiver in the muting model. As part of the Advanced sub-range, it has a protective height of 750mm and an IP65 degree of protection. The supply voltage is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The housing is made of vanished Aluminium, with a PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and PC cover, in a yellow color. The maximum cable length is 50m, with a net width of 35 mm and a sensing distance operating range of 0.2m to 20m. It uses infrared LED light with a power consumption of max 3 W for the emitter and max 5 W for the receiver without load, featuring 40 beams with a 30mm beam gap. The net depth is 40.8 mm, and the wavelength is 950 nm. It can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C and includes 2 x digital outputs (PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. The response time is 16ms / 0.016 s for reset and 100ms / 0.1 s for reset when SYNC interrupt, with a 2 s resolution for hand protection.
