Pilz PILZ-328410 is an I/O unit designed as a digital output electronic module with specific capabilities for handling inductive, capacitive, and resistive loads. It features potential isolation between semiconductor output and module supply, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 2500V. This unit is suitable for backplane or rackmount mounting modes and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. The device, with a net height of 110.8 mm and a design code of 0014h, supports 16 ST output bits plus 16 ST status bits. It allows a rated current range from 0 to 0.625A, with a residual current of 0.001mA at a "0" signal, and can handle a maximum transient pulsed output current of 0.7A, with an overload threshold at 1.4A. Connection is facilitated through plug-in/detachable cage-clamp terminal connections. As a standard I/O module, it offers an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 16.8-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The module is housed in PPE material, measures 12.5 mm in width, and has a depth of 72.5 mm. It operates efficiently with a power consumption of 0.28 W for module supply, 0.53 W for maximum power consumption of a positive-switching 1-pole semiconductor output, and 0.055 W with no load. Storage temperature tolerance ranges from -40 to +70°C. It includes 16 digital outputs, each being 1-pole positive-switching semiconductor outputs at 24Vdc, 0.5A. The unit is short-circuit proof, offers potential isolation for protection, and has a maximum power dissipation/loss of 1.7 W. Processing times for output signals range from a maximum of 0.4 ms for "1" to "0" signal changes, to 0.42 ms for "0" to "1" signal changes, with an internal voltage drop of 0.07 V.
