Pilz PILZ-328400 is an I/O unit designed as a digital output electronic module with specific capabilities for handling inductive, capacitive, and resistive loads. It features potential isolation between semiconductor output and module supply with functional insulation, rated for a surge voltage of 2500V. This unit is suitable for backplane or rackmount mounting modes and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. The device, with a net height of 110.8 mm and a design code of 0016h, offers 8 ST output bits plus 8 ST status bits. It supports a rated current range from 0 to 0.625A for permitted output current, with a residual current of 0.001mA at a "0" signal, and can handle a maximum transient pulsed output current of 0.7A, with an overload threshold at 1.4A. Connection is facilitated through plug-in/detachable cage-clamp terminal connections. As a standard I/O module, it has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 16.8-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. The housing is made of PPE material, and the unit measures 12.5 mm in width and 72.5 mm in depth. It is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C. The module features 8 digital outputs, each being a 1-pole positive-switching semiconductor output operating at 24Vdc with a 0.5A capacity. It includes protection functions against short circuits and potential isolation, with a maximum power dissipation/loss of 1.5 W. The processing time for output signals ranges from a maximum of 0.4 ms for a "1" to "0" signal to 0.42 ms for a "0" to "1" transition, and it experiences an internal voltage drop of 0.07 V.
