Pilz PILZ-311601 is a gateway protocol converter designed for DIN rail mounting, facilitating potential isolation between CANopen and system voltage as well as between Modbus and system voltage with functional insulation and a rated surge voltage of 500V. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and offers a degree of protection IP20. The device is equipped with a 9-pin D-sub male connector for CANopen peripherals and 8 x RJ45 connectors for Modbus server connections, supporting plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminal connections. The supply voltage required is 24Vdc, housed in a PC material with dimensions of 96mm in height, 22.5mm in width, and 114.3mm in depth. It supports communication protocols Modbus TCP and CANopen, with a cross-section range for wiring and operates in Auto-MDIX mode for Modbus. The storage temperature range is -25 to +70°C, featuring protection functions such as galvanic isolation and potential isolation. The response time is set at 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization and 32000ms for the default keep alive time. Transmission speeds vary from 10kBit/s to 1MBit/s for CANopen and 10MBit/s to 100MBit/s for Modbus.
