PILZ-774502 Pilz Electrical Safety Devices

Pilz PILZ-774502 is a safety relay designed for single or dual-channel operation with functions including safety gate monitoring, instantaneous and delayed E-STOP monitoring, limit switch monitoring, and monitored manual reset. It is suitable for DIN rail mounting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. This model, part of the PNOZ XV2 sub-range, measures 87 mm in height, 45 mm in width, and 121 mm in depth, with a degree of protection rated at IP40. The safety output contacts are rated at 8A for both 24Vdc (DC-1) and 240Vac (AC-1), 7A for 24Vdc (DC-13), and 5A for 230Vac (AC-15). It features fixed screw terminal connections and is constructed with a PPO housing and an ABS front housing. The supply voltage requirement is 20.4-26.4Vdc (24Vdc nominal), and it has a power consumption of 4.5 W. Operating modes include single-channel operation without redundancy, dual-channel operation with redundancy and detection capabilities for various circuit faults, automatic start, and monitored start. It offers an increase in the number of available contacts through the connection of contact expansion modules or external contactors/relays. The relay provides 2 x instantaneous safety outputs and 2 x delayed safety outputs with a fixed time-delay of 3 seconds, alongside protection functions like detection of shorts across contacts. It also features 2 x digital inputs, 1 x start input, and 1 x reset input.
